EX2200 Overview

The EX2200 Ethernet Switch is ideal for access-layer deployments in branch offices and campus networks, delivering performance usually associated with more expensive products.

EX2200 switches are low power, low acoustic, 1 U devices designed for wiring closets, making them an economical solution for low-density access business needs.

Both 24 and 48 10/100/1000BASE-T port models are available, with optional 802.3af Power over Ethernet (PoE) or 802.3at PoE+ for supporting networked devices such as telephones, video cameras, wireless LAN (WLAN) access points, and video phones.

EX2200-C Overview

The EX2200-C Compact Ethernet Switch is an economical, entry-level solution for low-density deployments in branch offices and enterprise workgroup environments.

Featuring a fanless design, the air-cooled EX2200-C also offers completely silent operations, making it ideal for open office areas, as well as micro-branches and retail environments.

The EX2200-C offers 12 front-panel 10/100/1000BASE-T ports, both with and without 802.3at Power over Ethernet Plus (PoE+). The PoE+ standard allows the EX2200-C to power networked devices such as telephones, video cameras, multiple radio IEEE 802.11 wireless LAN (WLAN) access points, and video phones in converged network environments.

EX2300

The EX2300 Ethernet Switch delivers a compact, high-density, cost-effective solution for small network environments where space and power are at a premium. With a small, 1 U footprint, the EX2300 is perfect for access-layer deployments in micro branches, retail and workgroup environments, and converged network access in larger networks.

Two EX2300 switch models are available, offering either 24 or 48 10/100/1000BASE-T ports in a single platform. Both models are available with or without IEEE 802.3af Power over Ethernet (PoE) or 802.3at PoE+ for powering attached network devices. Optional front panel 10GbE uplink ports are provided to support connections to higher layer devices.

EX2300 switches support Juniper’s Virtual Chassis technology, enabling up to four of the platforms to be interconnected and managed as a single, logical device. The switches can also serve as satellite devices in a Junos Fusion Enterprise deployment, which allows large numbers of access switches to be merged into a logical management platform.

EX2300 Multigigabit

The EX2300 Multigigabit Ethernet Switch delivers a compact 1 U high-density solution for small network environments with space, power, and budget constraints. The 802.11ac Wave 2 access points connect to the EX2300 Multigigabit switches, thereby providing investment protection by using existing cabling infrastructure to support multigigabit speeds and higher throughput demands. The EX2300 Multigigabit switches are perfect for refreshing network access infrastructures or building new greenfield campus and branch deployments that require multigigabit ports on the access switch.

There are two EX2300 Multigigabit switch models available, offering either 24 or 48 10/100 Mbps/1GbE/2.5GbE-T ports in a single platform. Both models offer IEEE 802.3af Power over Ethernet (PoE)/802.3at PoE+ for powering attached network devices. Each switch has 10GbE small form-factor pluggable plus transceiver (SPF+ transceiver) uplink ports that support connections to other access or distribution layer switches.

EX2300 Multigigabit switches integrate with Juniper’s industry-leading Virtual Chassis technology to simplify operations by consolidating the management of up to four switches into one logical device. These switches can also form a Virtual Chassis with existing non-multigigabit EX2300 switches. Additionally, EX2300 Multigigabit switches are supported as satellite devices in a Junos Fusion Enterprise deployment, which allows large numbers of access switches to be merged into a logical management platform.

EX2300-C

The EX2300-C Ethernet Switch offers a compact, power-efficient, cost-effective solution for low-density branch offices and enterprise workgroups. Featuring a fanless design, the EX2300-C is completely silent, making it ideal for open office deployments and commercial applications such as in retail stores.

The EX2300-C offers 12 front-panel 10/100/1000BASE-T access ports and two optional SFP+ 10GbE uplink ports for connecting to higher level devices. Access ports are available both with and without IEEE 802.3af Power over Ethernet (PoE) or 802.3at PoE+ for powering attached network devices.

Working with a compatible EX Series switch, the EX2300-C supports Juniper’s unique Virtual Chassis technology. Up to three of the switches can be interconnected with a fourth Virtual Chassis-compatible EX Series switch, enabling them to be managed as a single device. The EX2300-C can also act as a satellite device in a Junos Fusion Enterprise deployment, which combines large numbers of access switches into a logical management platform.

EX3300

EX3300 Ethernet Switches are flexible, cost-effective enterprise access solutions for campus and data center environments. A compact, scalable switching solution, the EX3300 supports converged data, voice, and video, with models that come with 24 or 48 10/100/1000BASE-T ports and four dual-mode Gigabit Ethernet (GbE)/10 GbE small form-factor pluggable transceiver (SFP/SFP+) uplink ports.

The EX3300 switches support IEEE 802.3af Power over Ethernet (PoE) or 802.3at PoE+. The switches offer front-to-back and back-to-front cooling options, and they can be configured with a DC power supply. Up to 10 EX3300 switches can be interconnected and operated as a single device using Juniper’s Virtual Chassis technology, delivering a scalable, pay-as-you-grow solution for expanding network environments.

EX3400

EX3400 Ethernet Switches are a cost-effective solution for today’s most demanding converged data, voice, and video enterprise access networks. The compact, fixed-configuration 1U devices offer levels of performance and management previously available only with high-end access switches.

Featuring models offering either 24 or 48 10/100/1000BASE-T ports, the EX3400 switches also support IEEE 802.3af Power over Ethernet (PoE) or 802.3at PoE+ for powering networked telephones, video cameras, wireless LAN access points, and other IP devices. Four front-panel dual-mode (GbE/10GbE) small form-factor pluggable transceiver (SFP/SFP+) uplink ports and two 40GbE quad SFP+ (QSFP+) ports are also available for connecting the switches to upstream devices.

The EX3400 supports Juniper’s unique Virtual Chassis technology for interconnecting up to 10 switches that can be managed as a single device. The EX3400 can also be configured as a satellite device in a Junos Fusion Enterprise deployment, which aggregates large numbers of access switches into a logical management platform.

EX4200

The EX4200 Ethernet Switch is a compact, fixed-configuration solution that deploys easily in campus installations, as well as in 1 Gigabit Ethernet (1GbE) access environments in the data center. EX4200 brings flexible, scalable, high-performance switching to campuses and data center top-of-rack deployments, combining the availability and reliability of modular solutions with the flexibility of stackable switches.

Juniper’s Virtual Chassis technology can be used to connect up to 10 EX4200 switches as a single logical device, delivering a scalable solution perfect for growing campus installations. The EX4200 can also be combined with EX4500 and EX4550 Switches in the same Virtual Chassis to support mixed 1GbE and 10GbE environments.

The EX4200 switches support 10/100/1000BASE-T with both 24- and 48-port configurations, and they optionally include full or partial IEEE 802.3af Power over Ethernet (PoE) or 802.3at PoE+. A 24-port 100BASE-FX/1000BASE-X SFP-based fiber configuration is available for gigabit aggregation in long-distance deployments. Available uplinks include 4-port 1GbE or 2-port 10GbE copper or fiber configurations, with and without Media Access Control Security (MACsec) capabilities.

EX4300

EX4300 1 Gigabit Ethernet (1GbE) switches are compact, fixed-configuration platforms that can be deployed as standalone systems or as part of a Virtual Chassis, Virtual Chassis Fabric, or Junos Fusion switching architecture, satisfying a variety of high-performance campus and data center access needs.

Virtual Chassis technology enables any combination of up to 10 EX4300 and EX4600 switches to be interconnected as a single logical device, delivering a highly scalable, cost-effective solution for 1GbE or mixed 1GbE/10GbE/40GbE environments.

The EX4300 can also be used in a QFX5100-based Virtual Chassis Fabric switching architecture, which enables up to 20 interconnected EX4300, QFX3500, QFX3600, and QFX5100 switches to operate as a low-latency, high-performance 1GbE/10GbE/40GbE data center fabric that is managed as a single device.

EX4300 Multigigabit

The EX4300 Multigigabit Ethernet Switch is a high-performance access switch for advanced branch or campus deployments. The modern campus environment must adapt to 802.11ac Wave II standards and accommodate access points that require multigigabit speeds and greater power connectivity. The EX4300 Multigigabit switch is a flexible and secure offering for the ever-connected enterprise, supplying a 1680 W Power over Ethernet (PoE) power budget with two power supplies to support high-density IP telephony, surveillance cameras, and/or wireless access point deployments.

The EX4300 Multigigabit switch supports 100 Mbps and 1/2.5/5/10 Gbps speeds using existing Cat5e, Cat6, and Cat6a cabling infrastructure. Uplink modules offer options that include four 10GbE SPF+, two 40GbE QSFP, or one 100GbE QSFP28 port. Power over Ethernet (PoE++) is enabled on all EX4300 Multigigabit access ports based on the 802.3at/af/bt standards for increased usage of up to 95 watts per port. Additionally, all access and uplink ports on the EX4300 Multigigabit switch are MACsec AES256-compliant for increased network security.

EX RPS

The EX Series redundant power system (RPS) provides backup, accommodating up to three hot-switchable power supplies. It can be connected to up to six EX2200 and EX3300 Ethernet Switches and supply power to any three of them. It provides protection from high-voltage input and short circuits.

Switch priorities can be altered to be equal or give weight to selected switches. RPS provides uninterrupted power to Power over Ethernet (PoE) circuits to ensure continuous operation following a main power supply or power feed failure, and can be easily managed and configured from the CLI of any connected EX Series switch.

EX4550

The scalable EX4550 Ethernet switch offers an economical, power-efficient, 1/10GbE switch platform for enterprise campus and data center top-of-rack deployments, as well as for service provider environments.

The 1 U EX4550 has 32 wire-speed GbE/10GbE ports with two expansion slots for optional modules that increase port densities to 48. The EX4550 supports Layer 3 dynamic routing protocols such as RIP and OSPF, MPLS services such as Layer 2 and Layer 3 VPNs, Media Access Control Security (MACsec) on all ports, and a comprehensive quality-of-service (QoS) feature set.

The EX4550 also supports Juniper’s Virtual Chassis technology and can be deployed with EX4200 switches in the same Virtual Chassis configuration to support environments where both 1GbE and 10GbE servers are present.

EX4600

The EX4600 Ethernet Switch offers a compact, highly scalable, high-performance 10GbE solution for enterprise campus distribution deployments as well as low-density data center top-of-rack environments.

Designed to help organizations grow into higher density campuses, the EX4600 provides deployment flexibility, high availability using unified in-service software upgrades (unified ISSU), and management simplification with support for multichassis link aggregation (MC-LAG). The highly flexible, high-density EX4600 supports up to 40 1GbE ports, 72 10GbE ports, or 12 40GbE ports through installable modules, delivering 1.44 Tbps of Layer 2 and Layer 3 connectivity in a single rack unit.

The EX4600 also supports Juniper’s Virtual Chassis technology, which allows up to 10 interconnected EX4600 and EX4300 switches to operate as a single logical device.

EX9200

The EX9200 line of Ethernet switches provides a programmable, flexible, and scalable foundation for delivering mission-critical applications in enterprise campus and data center core environments.

EX9200 switches simplify the deployment of cloud applications, server virtualization, and rich media collaboration tools in enterprise campus and data center core and aggregation environments.

In the enterprise campus, the EX9200 enables collaboration and provides simple and secure access for the delivery of mission-critical applications. In the data center, it simplifies operations to align the network with fast-changing business requirements.

EX9250

The EX9250 line of Ethernet switches provides compact, programmable, and scalable core and aggregation devices for enterprise environments, reducing cost and complexity while offering carrier-class reliability. The EX9250 Ethernet switches dramatically simplify campus and data center architectures by enabling evolved enterprise core deployments with Junos Fusion Enterprise and Ethernet VPN, creating a path to a 100GbE core.

The EX9250 switches serve as the foundation for Junos Fusion Enterprise architecture, a standards-based approach for creating an open, highly scalable switch fabric for the enterprise campus. Junos Fusion Enterprise dramatically simplifies campus deployments by collapsing the entire network into a single management point, with the EX9250 as its core. Junos Fusion Enterprise can also serve as the shared core for enterprise campus environments that have on-premises data centers.

EX9250 switches empower organizations to deploy an evolved enterprise core, supporting layer 2 or layer 3 applications by combining Ethernet VPN (EVPN) and Virtual Extensible LAN (VXLAN) technologies. Using these open technologies allows enterprises to create a coherent, end-to-end network across geographically dispersed locations while leveraging unified policies to segment traffic.
